The Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich

A super easy recipe for the ultimate breakfast sandwich.

  • 12 slices bacon thick cut
  • 12 slices tomatoes
  • 6 pieces butter lettuce
  • 6 large eggs the best eggs you can find
  • 6 slices cheese cheddar, comte, old amsterdam all work well
  • 1-2 avocadoes sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter softened
  • bbq sauce
  • spicy mayo
  • salt and pepper


  • If you are making the buns use my recipe for "dinner rolls" and roll into 6 balls instead of 8.

  • Begin by rendering out the bacon slowly with 1 tbsp of olive oil. Cook over medium-low heat and flip the bacon until it's nice and crispy. Rest the bacon on paper towel and save the cooking fat.

  • Cut the buns in half and brush them with the softened butter. Put the cheese on the top half of the buns. Toast until golden under the broil setting of the oven. Add your desired sauces to the buns.
  • Slice the tomato and get the lettuce and avocado ready. Fry the eggs in the bacon fat sunnyside up over low-medium heat. Season with salt and pepper.
    Once the egg whites are fully cooked and the egg yolks still runny, carefully lift out of the pan onto the buns. Assemble the sandwich and enjoy!
